REMEDIATION WORKS
The work was awarded to Pope Plant Ltd based on past works completed and the agreement that a close working partnership was required due to limited closed site budget
The site had been closed to waste activity for some time with all capping works complete. The restoration of the site had previously been carried out by other contractors to an unsuitable standard.
Pope Plant were required to remediate the whole landfill site removing any unsuitable material. There were various stockpiles moved around
site to achieve required contours.
A new access track was constructed along with new surface water settlement lagoons.
Fencing, hedge work and minor restoration to take place spring 2013 due to inclement weather conditions towards the end of 2012 contract.
