Works begin on a 3 month restoration project in Tapwood Quarry for Hanson Aggregates
The works involved some very thorough planning and assessments of the proposed works due to working in proximity to deep water on undercut sand benches that were continually progressing.
The project was to enable a safe access around the lake by extending the track further behind into the upper faces.
To create the track approx. 40’000m3 of material was excavated and disposed into the water.
