After completing the de-vegetation and ramp/haul route construction in late 2017, Pope Plant commenced the engineering barrier on Cell 1 in May 2018.
This is to provide a fully engineered barrier using site derived material and tested to specification in order to accept clean imported inert materials from various construction sites around Kent.
Pope Plant Ltd will be providing all the plant and operator requirements for this long term project over the coming months/years along with the cell construction in phases during the life span of the site.
