FINAL TRIMMING OF RESTORED AREAS OF SITE
The original contract was awarded to Pope Plant ltd in 2012, with the majority of the earthworks being completed before adverse weather conditions affected programme in Dec 12.
Pope Plant deployed an excavator and dozer from its fleet to finish final trimming works of restored areas of site. A new v-ditch was constructed around perimeter of the site to encourage surface water to site lagoons created the previous year.
Some 3000m of hedgerow fencing was erected to split the site for grazing purpose before handing over to the local farm. A number of concrete pads were installed to place water troughs and approximately 1000m of water pipe installed within the restoration soils.
A two week period with long hours completed the works in preparation for handover.
