EARTHWORKS FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION
After supplying Adenstar Developments Ltd with one of our Volvo ADT’s on a hire basis, to work alongside the appointed archaeologists, Pope Plant Ltd were invited to tender for the proposed earthworks package.
The works were awarded on a sub-contract basis early June with an immediate start.
The works consisted of
- Excavation 26’000m3
- Fill area and compaction 7500m3
- Stockpile material 18’500m3
The earthworks were carried out under principal contractor supervision to construct approx 1km of road to formation linking to the new Bexhill bypass.
There were two surface water lagoons excavated, along with additional works added to the original contract.
Pope Plant Ltd are supplying site with plant still, on a hire basis only.
