GCL Capping
Following straight on from the completed contract at Greatness, Pope Plant Ltd mobilised to the Bellhouse site in Colchester.
An area had now been completed with waste to finish level next to the circa 40’000m2 of permanent GCL capping, Pope installed in 2015.
The new area required 25’000m2 of regulation material to be place, followed by GCL installation and 300mm protection layer of soil placement for stockpile.
The works were carried out under the supervision of Terra Consult CQA engineer during the summer months with very little interruption from adverse weather.
The works were completed on time and within budget.

Been a bit of a rush preparing this one
Apart from the hand painted counterweight it’s pretty clean
No time to rub down, fill and spray properly as off to work next week.
Full service inc Hepa filters fitted for the soil treatment facility it’s off to next week in Hertfordshire
Street pads came off nicely leaving like new grousers on the track pads👍
